Description & Prerequisites

To enable students to obtain a: (a) Basic understanding of the form (anatomy) and function (physiology) of animals (invertebrates and vertebrates) with regard to respiration, nutrition, homeostasis, reproduction, etc. (b) Basic understanding of the structure (morphology), function (physiology) and diversity (systematics) of selected representatives of the Kingdoms Monera, Protista, Fungi and Plantae.
